University Housing

To be eligible for summer housing, you must be a newly accepted or continuing USCA housing student. You do not need to be enrolled in summer school to live in summer housing. However, you do need to be enrolled as a student at USCA for the fall semester to live in housing during the summer!

Summer Housing Reservations

University Housing will begin accepting applications soon; please check back soon. Only returning students are eligible to apply for Summer housing. Please be sure to read the terms of the contract before submitting your application.

Please choose which Summer session/sessions you are applying for:

• If you would like to stay on campus the entire summer (includes Maymester and both Summer 1 & 2), please choose All Summer.
• If you would like to stay on campus for Summer 1 and Summer 2, please make sure to choose both of those sessions.
• If you would like to stay on campus for Maymester and Summer 1, please choose both sessions.

Changes/Cancellation of Contract

All contract changes and/or cancellations must be made in writing to the Central Housing office via fax, 803-641-3785, or email, [email protected], no later than three days before the student's reservation check-in date. Failure to cancel Summer Housing requests will result in the student remaining responsible for the associated housing fees (full session prices).

Assignments

• All summer students will be housed in Pacer Downs.
• Assignments will be made by University Housing, and requests for specific roommates will be considered but are not guaranteed.
• All students should anticipate having to move at least once during the summer months. Students will be given at least two days' advance notice of when their new assignment is available.

Summer Housing Sessions and Proposed Rates

Currently, Housing is offering double rooms and doubles and singles for summer students.

2025 Summer Term Individual Sessions:

All summer charges will be placed on the student's financial account through the university. Charges will need to be paid directly to Business Services by the deadlines. Late fees may be assessed after the due date at $5 per day up to a maximum of $350. Failure to pay may result in eviction from summer housing. Prorated fees will be charged for each term when necessary.

USCA and USC Housing Policies

All USCA and University Housing policies contained within the Community Guide, housing contract, and USCA Student Handbook will remain in effect throughout the summer.

Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from Housing. It is the resident's responsibility to be familiar with our policies.

Check-out Process
All students, except those staying for Maymester, must check out 24 hours after their last exam or by May 8, 2025, at 10 a.m., whichever comes first. Summer II session students not staying for the 2024-2025 school year must vacate University Housing by August 7, 2025, at 10 a.m.

Maymester Check-In
Check-in for Maymester residents will be on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please report to the Pacer Commons office to check-in.

Maymester Check-Out
Check-out for Maymester residents is on Friday, May 30, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. Please sign up for a check-out time with the housing staff.

Summer I Check-In
Check-in for Summer I residents will be on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please report to the Pacer Commons office to check-in.

Summer I Check-Out
Check-out for Summer I residents is on Thursday, July 3, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. Please sign up for a check-out time with the housing staff.

Summer II Check-In
Check-in for Summer II residents will be on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please report to the Pacer Commons office to check-in.

Summer II Check-Out
Check-out for Summer II residents is on Thursday, August 7, 2025, by 10 a.m. Please sign up for a check-out time with the housing staff.
